Tableware and kitchen equipment that is circulated in a closed system is proven to be the best environmental choice and creates conditions for public activities to become part of the circular society. Eskilstuna Municipality is now dedicating the municipality's environmental award to August Lundh and its sister company Mälarplast for their work with the Green Loop System.
With the motivation "For taking a unique initiative and creating a circular business for their reusable plastic plates. The Green Loop System model saves raw materials and significantly reduces climate impact. The product also has food contact where recycled plastic was previously considered impossible to use. With great stubbornness, quality assurance and by taking care of the recycled raw material, August Lundh and Mälarplast have succeeded".
Eskilstuna municipality's environmental prize has been awarded since 1996 with the aim of encouraging efforts that promote the environment in the municipality in the long term. The award was presented in connection with World Environment Day and Helena Karlsson and Alberto Bonnet, Marketing Manager and Sales Manager respectively at August Lundh and Mälarplast were present to receive the honorable award.
– Green Loop and circular systems in general are one of the most important pieces of the puzzle for a sustainable and climate-neutral society, and we are incredibly happy and honored that the municipality chooses to recognize our work, says Helena Karlsson, Marketing Manager at August Lundh and Mälarplast.
